Celebrating 125 years of Sikh Migration in FNQ

On Thursday 20 October 2022, the Sikhs in FNQ team along with the local Sikh community came together to celebrate 125 years of Sikhs in the Far North and helped launch this project’s much-anticipated interpretation plan by Extent Heritage. Thank you to Cairns Museum, Cairns Regional Council, Warren Entsch MP and Curtis Pitt MP for your support. The memorable event was attended by a strong showing of the local Sikh community.
